Relaxing Winter Time

The increasing speed of our times is overwhelming, to the man himself. Speed is the new black in almost every area: How fast can you this? How fast can you that?  My new attitude towards life is now contrasting with the speed of my very being, creating an interesting contrast of "fast slow-down" or "slowing-down full speed".

There are many things that we can do to slow ourselves down and December has its magical way of unfolding the very activities that get us to be more of who we really are: more forgiving, more loving, more tolerant, happier, more joyful. To be more precise, Christmas has that strange effect on people and I can't help daring to hope: could it be Christmas every day in my world?

Actually, I'm not hoping. I'm expecting. Therefore I'm not giving the merit of my excellent state of well-being to the upcoming holidays. This is my doing, it's my work on myself, it's the result of my own self-care. December is the month when I'm enjoying everything. The work I'm doing on myself is becoming easier and more fulfilling and I'm having so much fun with every step! Being happy and allowing myself to be who I really am is a lifelong process. It's so wonderful to know that there is always something more to find out about me and my world, about the planet I live on, about the air I breathe, about the body I live in, about the human nature.

It's not difficult to relax. It's not difficult to be in a good mood. It is most easy to laugh and share good times with the ones in our life.
The moment we can find laughter in a situation that seems critical, the easier it becomes to pass it and the better we become at handling challenging situations. Then we are one step closer to being much more than that problem, and it doesn't even seem like a problem anymore.

December is the month of gratitude and generosity. Even if you're not necessarily a "Christmas spirit" person, you still get to taste the magic of it all around: the amazing lights in the city, the decorations in the store windows, the carols all around, the smell of oranges, the evenings when it's so cold outside and so warm and comfortable inside in your home.

So just slow down and relax...there's no other place to go, and nothing better to do than to enjoy this moment...admit it, you absolutely adore winter!
